There is an older thought that says everything is a learning experience if you know how to look at it. This only makes sense if you see things in their context rather than your own – personal paradigms often distort the image and make it seem less meaningful. Being open-minded helps on that end – but it’s something that can be learned in time.
I’ve spent a night at the Atheneum and one at a pub – in contrast, you’d say one had more to offer than the other. But the information you gather depends on your own willingness to learn from the usual, rather than the extraordinaire.
Then again, forcing it is just like eating when you’re not hungry – it will just make you sick and tired in the end 🙂
